Anyway, this light packs quite a punch in a relatively small, rugged package with its single LED chip. 1900 lumens is about as bright as you can hope to get in this size class with the majority of the competition coming in at 1700 lumens or less.

With their rainbow of hues and myriad party tricks, color LEDs get all the press in the world of smart lighting. It’s fun stuff, but the reality is that most of us will rarely find much of a need to turn all the lights in the house blue or red—unless it’s time to celebrate our team winning the World Series. Even then, you’ll probably want to turn them all back to white after the celebration.

Hyundai introduced its all-new 2020 Sonata at the New York International Auto Show this week, marking the North American debut of their longest-standing and most successful model. The eighth-generation Sonata is unlike any of its predecessors, showcasing Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy, an all-new Smartstream G2.5 GDI engine and segment-first technology that can be personalized. Production of the 2020 Sonata starts in September at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama and retail sales begin in October.

These highly inefficient fixtures consume a massive amount of electricity—roughly 58 terawatt hours per year, or enough to light a third of all U.S. homes. This, in turn generates more than 41 million metric tons of greenhouse gases, including 29 million tons of carbon emissions annually, the equivalent of nearly 9 million passenger vehicles driven every year. It also churns out as much as 73,000 tons of dangerous nitrous oxide and sulfur dioxide, the leading causes of acid rain, smog, and respiratory damage.

The recent Christianity Today/Gallup Poll showed that ministers believe preaching is the number one priority of their ministries, but it’s also the one thing they feel least capable of doing well. What causes this insecure attitude toward preaching?

You've got plenty of BR30-shaped LED options in the lighting aisle. The most common among them are 65-watt replacement bulbs that typically put out about 650 lumens of brightness each. That's a good, average number, and fine for average-height ceilings with at least a few bulbs shining overhead. Among the ones I've tested, 65-watt replacement floodlights from Cree and Philips are the two I'd recommend. They're good values, they're highly efficient (each draws less than 10 watts), they work well with dimmer switches and -- most important for overhead lighting -- they're both nice and bright, each putting out comfortably more than 700 lumens.

It has a full range of 7 lighting modes (including SOS), and the beam lengths range between 15-85m. You just have to press and hold to switch between either white LED and Red LED, and between lighting modes.

After Léger, and later Rothko’s, stint in the building (the latter eventually moved his studio to another location in 1962), the space turned from one that was exclusively housing artists to one occupied by poets and writers. As for “warranties”… hogwash I say. As an example Meanwell markets their drivers from 5-7 years and yet I have sites where their drivers start to fail at about 3 years (about 40% failed at this time frame)…. which is well within their warranty time period. However, to claim the warranty one must send the driver back to a depot in the US + pay for return and reimportation of the replacement driver. Outside of the time/effort to document and package the returning driver, the shipping costs (return + replacement) is about the same as the cost of a new driver… So the warranty is pretty much useless. In fact it seems that the last person to touch the light is the one that has to honor the warranty claim. Around here, most electricians refuse to supply LED fixtures and will simply install whatever fixture that someone else provides (customer, general contractor, etc) so that they are off the hook for warranty issues (replacement + time/effort to remove and replace the fixture and driver).

They persist because people are always willing to try the cheaper options, in case they actually do work. That enables the manufacturers to knowingly push a certain number of bad products on the market.
