It seems that almost every building in New York City has a remarkable story. But, of course, some are destined to be more interesting than others. And Rothko’s former studio at 222 Bowery is somewhere near the top of the list. Even if Rothko hadn’t painted there, even if he hadn’t worked on his most famous murals in that studio (a series Peter Selz, the former head of painting and sculptures at MoMA, once described as “celebrating the death of a civilization”), the building still housed some of the most interesting, if not eccentric, people in history.

White smart bulbs downplay the party features that are a staple of color-tunable bulbs. On the other hand, white smart bulbs are less expensive than color bulbs, making it more affordable to roll them out in multiple rooms.

The oldest surviving incandescent light, known as the Centennial Bulb (click to see a webcam of the lamp), is a dim carbon-filament bulb that’s been burning nearly continuously since 1901 — over 1 million hours. In its current state, it throws off as much light as a modern 4-watt incandescent. Would it have made sense to pay a premium for such “million hour bulbs” at the turn of the 20th century if we had any inkling of the advances that would come in the next 117 years?

We manufactured three types of luminaires; IKON LED uplighter that were mounted on top of TOTEM signs (providing direction for passengers), which are located in the underground passageway and provide indirect lighting to the circulation areas. IKON Emergency luminaires, incorporated within the same TOTEM signs, mounted on all four sides of the sign providing emergency back-up lighting in the event of power failure, and the PLINTH escalator luminaire mounted within the deck area (located between each individual escalator) to enhance the light in this area for the passengers as they enter/exit the station. 

Using the Multi-Terrain Select control dial on the console, the driver can maximize traction when driving through inclement weather or road conditions. Mud & Sand mode works well for beach driving, while Rock & Dirt mode optimizes AWD traction for trails. The driver can monitor, in real time, torque allocation and slip control on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
